State National Specialty Insurance Company, a Fort Worth, Texas-based unit of State National Companies, has received authorization to write multiple lines of insurance in West Virginia and Iowa.
The West Virginia authorization allows State National Specialty to write fire, marine and casualty lines. For Iowa, the authorization permits the company to write property and casualty insurance without accident & health or workers’ compensation.
State National Companies acquired State National Specialty in March of 1999 and has since increased the company’s authorizations to 32 states and the District of Columbia.
State National Specialty Insurance Company, State National Insurance Company and Texas-based State and County Mutual Fire Insurance Company are affiliates of State National Companies, a privately held group of insurance companies and agencies.
