Omaha Property and Casualty (OPAC) of Omaha, Neb., recently launched its integrated Flood Automated Policy Processing System (FloodAPPS), developed in conjunction with EDS.
The system offers agents an automated process for obtaining flood zones, quoting policy rates, completing applications, electronically signing policies and uploading the work online at www.mutualofomaha.com/flood. Once complete the transaction can be downloaded via IVANS to approved agency management systems.
More than 1,000 independent agents nationwide have signed up to access FloodAPPS, according to the company.
In addition to flood insurance, OPAC offers homeowner, auto, watercraft and personal excess liability (umbrella) insurance in 19 Midwestern states.
