Aon announced that its “Wired for Growth” risk management program has been named among the top ten winners of the 2002 Chicago Innovation Award.
“This is the second recognition the Wired for Growth program has received in the past four months,” said the bulletin. “Launched in July 2001, Wired for Growth is Aon’s Web-enabled virtual risk manager that provides growth cycle-specific insurance products and services. The site targets emerging technology companies, providing online risk management tools and navigation.”
The program earlier received the “First Insurance Innovators Award,” at the IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show in San Francisco. Aon indicated that the award had been “created by industry thought leaders InSystems, META Group and Insurance & Technology to recognize outstanding use of Internet technologies to improve business relationships.”
The Chicago Innovation Awards are sponsored by Kuczmarski & Associates, new products’ management consultants in Chicago, and The Chicago Sun-Times. It’s the first program recognizing the Chicago area for its contributions to the national economy in terms of innovation and the achievements of innovative companies. Aon noted that Wired for Growth was selected as one of 10 winners out of 150 nominees.
“An award ceremony reception will held on Wednesday, October 9th at The Sutton Place hotel at 5:30 p.m.,” the announcement concluded.
