The actuarial and consulting firm Tillinghast-Towers Perrin has named Robert F. Conger the location manager for its Chicago office, according to a company statement.
Conger will be responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to the Chicago office, as well as local market development. He will also oversee the firm’s directors and officers survey and seminars.
Since joining Tillinghast in 1986, Conger has served the firm in a number of leadership roles including property/casualty practice leader. He has specific expertise in workers’ compensation. Conger has assisted clients with pricing, reserving, operational reviews, financial analysis, reinsurance structures, mergers and acquisitions strategy and litigation involving business and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Tillinghast, Conger worked for a national multi-line insurance company in actuarial pricing and reserving, and was a senior vice president in charge of data collection and ratemaking activities for the Massachusetts Rating Bureaus.
Conger has a bachelor’s with honors from Amherst College. He is immediate past president of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Conger also served on the board of directors of the American Academy of Actuaries.
