Chicago-based Acordia Inc., America’s largest bank-owned insurance brokerage and a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., has acquired the assets and business of Care Insurance Services, headquartered in Omaha, Neb.
Care Insurance Services, which provides risk management solutions for long-term care facilities, is one of the largest long-term care facility specialists in the Midwest.
The acquisition, completed Aug. 1, 2003, more than doubles Acordia’s presence in Omaha. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Care Insurance Services has served clients in Nebraska and Iowa since 1986. The agency will be combined with the Acordia office at 13305 Birch Drive, Suite 202, Omaha.
