The Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana (IIAI) elected its officers to serve the association in the year 2004 at the IIAI Annual Convention, Nov. 16-18, 2003.
Mark A. Bates will continue to serve as part of the IIAI Executive Committee through his leadership as immediate past president. Bates led the association during the year 2003 and his five years of service on the IIAI Executive Committee will offer continuity to ongoing projects and provide a historical perspective as new plans evolve throughout the year.
The other newly elected officers are:
— President Lawrence D. Meyers, president of HIA Hammond Insurance in Schererville
— President-Elect Sherry J. Frey, director of marketing with MBAH Insurance in Lafayette
— Vice President-Treasurer Dean Mayfield, president of Mayfield Insurance in Mooresville
— Vice President-Secretary Doug Annakin, account executive-commercial of HUB International Midwest in Evansville
— J. Michael Miley, account executive at Gibson Insurance Agency, Inc. in Plymouth, serving the second year of a three-year term as state national director.
