The Western Michigan chapter of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Society (CPCU) is co-sponsoring a half-day workshop March 30 that is worth four continuing education credits in Michigan, three in Wisconsin.
The workshop, called “Hidden Coverages: Surprises in Court!” will cover a variety of legal topics of interest to agents and run from 8 a.m. to noon, March 30, at Duba’s Restaurant in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Some of the topics covered include:
— Who is an insured under the personal auto policy?
— Employers liability and host liquor liability under the CGL
— Swimming pools: Coverage B or coverage C? Valuation?
— What is pollution? You might be surprised!
— Auto under homeowners and CGL: some unusual examples
— Intentional loss: manic depressive, self-defense, mistaken identity and other interesting cases
— Comprehensive or collision?
