Gallagher Elects New Director

Itasca, Ill.-based brokerage giant Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s elected Bernard L. Hengesbaugh to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Hengesbaugh has more than 30 years of extensive insurance and financial business experience, Gallagher said in a statement. He is just concluding 23 years with the CNA insurance companies, most recently as their nonexecutive chairman of CNA Financial Corp. Prior to joining CNA in 1980, Hengesbaugh was a partner at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago.
