Ohio-based Sky Financial Group Inc. has combined two of its wholly-
owned insurance affiliates.
Stouffer-Herzog Insurance Agency Inc. merged into Sky Insurance Inc. effective January 1, 2005. Stouffer-Herzog was previously owned by Second Bancorp Inc., which was acquired by Sky Financial Group on June 1, 2004.
“Stouffer-Herzog has a great tradition in the Ashtabula market,” said
Jerry Batt, CEO of Sky Insurance. “They are recognized as being an insurance leader in that region, and I am pleased to have Stouffer-Herzog on board as part of Sky Insurance.”
The office and personnel of the former Stouffer- Herzog will continue to operate as a branch office of Sky Insurance.
