The Cincinnati-based Great American Insurance Group announced that Scott Hendricks has been promoted to divisional president of the firm’s trucking division. Hendricks has been with Great American since 1994.
Prior to joining Great American, he was with a former affiliated company, Transport Insurance Co., for two years, and prior to joining Transport, he owned his own insurance agency. Hendricks has a bachelor of arts degree from Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., and a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Great American said its trucking division offers a broad selection of specialized products and services to both owner-operators and motor carriers distributed through independent agents and qualified finance and insurance managers at dealerships all across the country. Hendricks assumed responsibility for the division in 1994 when premiums were less than $1 million and has grown it to a profitable business of just under $100 million in 2004.
