Definition of poverty for a family of 4. Just under $39,000 per year. Yet the national average for hourly wages of $18.21 times 40 hours comes out to less than $38,000 per year. We are told how the “poor” ranks are growing….no wonder almost all families are considered to be below this “FAKE” poverty line.
When I think of being poor…no air conditioning, little food or clean water, no home or a hut of some kind, little clothing, no access to medical care, etc. Yet that is not how an overwhelming majority of Americans live. WHO MADE UP THIS DEFINITION OF POVERTY???? Hummm
