United Fire & Casualty Co. has named Randy Ramlo as its new president and chief executive officer.
Ramlo, 45, most recently served as the Cedar Rapids-based insurance company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was elected president and CEO at a board meeting following the annual shareholders meeting.
He succeeds John A. Rife, 64, who retired but will remain chairman of the company’s United Life Insurance subsidiary and a member of the board.
