Specialty Underwriters’ Alliance, Inc. (SUA) announced that Daniel Cacchione has been appointed as vice president and chief underwriting officer of Chicago-based SUA Insurance Co., the sole operating subsidiary of Specialty Underwriters’ Alliance.
Cacchione has been a program director with SUA since it began operations in November of 2004 and has been responsible for managing the underwriting relationship with Risk Transfer Holdings, Inc. and Specialty Risk Solutions, LLC. Cacchione has more than 20 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry and particular expertise in the specialty area. Prior to joining SUA Insurance, he served as a senior vice president at CNA Insurance in charge of its Commercial Affiliation Marketing (CAM) program which focuses on specialty business.
