Westfield Bank recently promoted Gregory A. Oakes to executive vice president – agency banking at Westfield Bank.
Oakes’ new role involves leading Westfield Bank’s sales efforts to Westfield Insurance agencies, which includes commercial lending for agency acquisitions and business perpetuation, premium finance lending and deposit accounts. Agency banking is one of Westfield Bank’s fastest growing businesses.
Recently, Oakes served as region executive for Westfield’s commercial insurance operations in Tennessee and West Virginia. He also served as project executive in leading Westfield’s commercial insurance expansion into the states of North and South Carolina. Oakes joined Westfield Group in 1986 and his experience includes commercial lines field underwriting and marketing, training and development, product development and agent licensing and executive underwriting management
The Westfield Group said Oakes’ promotion is an important milestone for Westfield Bank, as it provides a new opportunity to align banking and insurance services to Westfield agents.
