Ironshore Inc. announced that Peter Ignell has been appointed vice president of Ironshore Insurance Services LLC, based in St. Louis, Mo. He will be responsible for managing the wholesale property operation and developing strategic underwriting and market direction for Ironshore’s team of wholesale underwriters, reporting to Steven England, executive vice president of Ironshore’s U.S. Field Operations.
Ignell brings over 25 years of underwriting, management and engineering experience to Ironshore. Most recently, he was vice president of Chartis’ Global Marine and Energy property group in Chicago. Ignell also served in various roles of increased underwriting and management responsibility at Allianz, Hannover, Hannover Re and Zurich North America.
Ironshore’s U.S. operations write commercial property and casualty insurance, including a variety of coverages in the Management & Professional Liability, Healthcare Liability, Construction, Select Personal Lines as well as Environmental, Energy Property and Specialty Casualty within its Global division.
