CNA Insurance was recently recognized as the “2010 Champion of the Year” by the Chicago-West Suburban Chapter of the CPCU Society.
In presenting the award, chapter president Peter Quirk noted that CNA has had several employees play active roles in Chicago-area chapters, and has been a regular supporter and participant in the annual Chicago-area conferment event for newly designated CPCUs. Quirk is a national sales consultant for Verisk Analytics.
Michael Powell, branch vice president of the CNA office in Lombard, Ill., accepted the award on behalf of CNA.
Previous recipients of the “Champion” award have been EMC, AAIS, and Liberty Mutual.
The Chicago-West Suburban Chapter’s annual champion award recognizes an organization that demonstrates its commitment to CPCU by encouraging and/or subsidizing study for examinations, and by supporting membership and participation in the CPCU Society.
The CPCU Society is an organization of property/casualty insurance professionals who have attained the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
