Recently passed Illinois House Bill 1698 provides that the governor will appoint all arbitrator positions for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. The governor has not yet signed the bill, but the Governor’s Office has set up a Web page for arbitrator applications.
All existing arbitrators must apply if they wish to be appointed.
To apply for an arbitrator appointment, go to http://www.appointments.illinois.gov/bcForm.cfm. Go to the drop-down box and select “Workers’ Compensation Arbitrators.”
