Accused North Dakota Insurance Agent Loses State License

September 9, 2011

A Fargo, N.D., insurance agent accused of using client money for personal matters has lost his state license.

North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm said he had revoked the license of Jeffrey Neppl. He said Neppl waived his right to an administrative hearing and consented to the revocation.

Hamm in March had issued a cease-and-desist order, telling Neppl to stop doing business in the state. Neppl later was charged with felony misapplication of entrusted property.

Neppl did not immediately return a telephone call to The Associated Press.
