Indianapolis, Ind.-based property/casualty and employee benefit agency, MJ Insurance, for the eighth consecutive year has been recognized as a ‘Best Practices Agency’ by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s (Big ‘I’).
Last year, which marked the start of a new three-year study cycle, more than 1,200 independent agencies throughout the U.S. were nominated to take part in the annual Best Practices Study, but only 224 agencies qualified for the honor.
To be chosen, MJ Insurance had to be among the 35 to 40 top-performing agencies in one of six revenue categories. MJ was included in the $10 to $25 million revenue category.
The Best Practices Study was initiated in 1993 as the foundation for efforts to improve agency performance. This annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the ‘best’ agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices.
MJ Insurance has offices in Indiana and Arizona. The agency currently has clients in 16 countries and in every U.S. state.
