North Dakota flood victims with flood insurance have been given even more time to file claims.
The state’s congressional delegation says the Federal Emergency Management Agency is providing another 30 days for National Flood Insurance Program policyholders along the Missouri and Souris rivers.
Similar extensions were granted earlier. Policyholders in Renville, Ward, McHenry and Bottineau counties now have until Nov. 27 to file. Missouri River area policyholders below Garrison Dam have until Nov. 28. That means they have about sixth months to file claims rather than the typical two months.
