Georgia Puls has been appointed as the new president of Iowa Mutual Insurance Co.
Puls has 27 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 17 years at Iowa Mutual in the personal and commercial lines divisions.
She joined Iowa Mutual in 1996 as a commercial lines underwriter and was promoted to commercial lines supervisor in 2001. In 2004, she was named vice president of the division, ultimately becoming vice president of both commercial and personal lines underwriting.
Puls holds numerous designations, including the Associate in Commercial Underwriting, Associate in General Insurance and Associate in Insurance Services. She currently is pursuing her CPCU designation.
Iowa Mutual and its wholly owned subsidiary, Iowa American Insurance Co., insure personal and commercial lines of insurance (auto, home and business) throughout Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska. Iowa Mutual, founded in 1900, is an affiliate of The Motorists Insurance Group.
