Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings, named Gregory Martens as executive vice president and human capital practice leader of its Midwest region.
Martens is based in Chicago and will oversee the human capital practice across Willis’s Midwest region, which includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska and Kansas. He is responsible for business development, client retention and staff development. Martens will report to Mike Liss, national partner of the Midwest region.
Martens joined Willis in 2010, and since has served as human capital practice leader of Willis’s Chicago and Illinois operations. He has more 17 years of experience in the employee benefits space. Prior to joining Willis, he held the role of senior vice president and Chicago market leader at Aon. He previously was an associate vice president of total rewards at Hewitt Associates.
Willis’ national human capital practice consists of more than 1,000 professionals and features expertise in the areas of employee benefit program design, HR consulting, compensation, compliance, employee communication, reporting and analytics, health outcomes and global benefits.
