Portage, Mich.-based J.M. Wilson has named Cheryl Shaw a claims specialist.
Shaw is responsible for reviewing and processing all incoming claims, which includes contacting the insurance company, working with adjusters and filing all necessary paperwork. She will act as a liaison between carriers and agents to handle losses quickly.
Shaw has 29 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to J.M. Wilson, she worked as a casualty auditor, bodily injury adjuster, PIP adjuster, non-injury manager, PIP manager and a field property claims specialist.
J.M. Wilson is a managing general agency and surplus lines broker providing independent insurance agents access to specialty markets for both personal and commercial lines. The firm has branch and affiliate offices in eight states.
