Workplace Incident in South Dakota Kills North Dakota Man

A North Dakota man was killed while working at an asphalt production plant in central South Dakota.

Sully County Sherriff Bill Stahl told KCCR radio that 66-year-old Jerold Walth of Wishek, North Dakota, was performing maintenance on equipment at the asphalt plant Monday evening when he got caught up in a conveyor. It happened at a plant about seven miles northwest of Harrold.

Stahl says Walth was pronounced dead at the scene.

    So does the survivors get North Dakota death settlements or South Dakota where the accident happened? I hope his employer thought of that before sending him out to this job.
