Missouri’s unemployment rate has fallen again to its lowest point since 2001.
The state Department of Economic Development said that Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.3 percent in January. That’s down one-tenth of a percentage point from December 2015 and is its lowest mark since June 2001.
Missouri’s seasonally adjusted employment rose by 5,800 jobs in January. The economic development agency says the largest gains occurred in the health care and social assistance industry.
