Main Street America Names Simmons Assistant Secretary in Nebraska

The Main Street America Group has named Scott Simmons assistant secretary in its Omaha, Neb., office.

Simmons reports to Dan Gaynor, the company’s vice president and head of commercial lines.

He is responsible for leading Main Street America’s Austin Mutual Insurance Co. agribusiness operations.

Simmons also directs product development and management, underwriting and loss control, as well as field marketing and producer management of the company’s agribusiness function.

Simmons joined Main Street America in 2015 from Berkley North Pacific LLC in Bellevue, Wash., where he was executive agribusiness underwriter. Simmons previously held agribusiness management and underwriting roles at Penn Millers Insurance Co., Unigard Insurance and Grange Insurance Association.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Main Street America is a mutual insurance holding company that writes business through its nine property/casualty insurance carriers.
