Embroker, a technology-based provider of business insurance, has opened an office in downtown Chicago.
The San Francisco-based firm was founded in 2015 and says its mission is to deliver “a technology-driven brokerage experience for small and midsize business owners.”
Embroker will occupy 4,300 square feet in the historic Monroe Building at 104 South Michigan Avenue. The newly renovated space will house as many as 35 employees, including Embroker’s COO Julie Zimmer and Vice President of Client Experience Tom DeMichael. Embroker plans to hire for more than 10 new positions in the downtown Chicago location this year.
Embroker also has an office in Boston. The company recently announced $12.2 million in Series A funding led by Canaan Partners.
