ProAssurance Honors Missouri’s Keane Insurance Group with Philanthropic Award

November 15, 2017

The Keane Insurance Group in St. Louis, Missouri, has received the ProAssurance 2017 Philanthropic Award.

The award was presented to John Keane, president of The Keane Group, and Brian Dames, COO, at ProAssurance’s 2017 Leadership Circle meeting in North Carolina in recognition of outstanding contributions to the community and profession.

The award is in honor of The Keane Group’s charitable work in Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010. John Keane started the HOPE Community Project shortly after the disaster, and since that time, through fundraising events, donations, and the development of ongoing financial support, Keane has raised over $1,000,000 for the charity.

The funds have helped provide housing, clean, filtered water, jobs, school scholarships, and a medical clinic in Gonaives. The foundation is now focusing on economic development and orphan prevention, to help families stay together.

The Keane Insurance Group has partnered with ProAssurance for many years to bring medical professional/medical malpractice insurance to physicians and groups all over the country.

With more than 4,500 physician, hospital and senior care clients, The Keane Insurance Group is one of the largest independent brokers of medical professional liability insurance in the nation. Licensed in all 50 states, Keane has offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, New York, Austin, and Los Angeles and has been providing risk management solutions to the healthcare industry since 1995.
