Chicago-based Ryan Specialty Group LLC (RSG) has named Katie Davies as president and CEO of a new, yet-to-be-named property catastrophe managing underwriting facility that will be exclusive to RT Specialty.
Company spokesperson Alice Topping said the facility is in its very early stages and will be based in Chicago. Davies, who comes to RSG from Amwins, also will be based in Chicago.
According to RSG’s announcement, the facility is a major commitment to the RT brokers and their clients and will provide additional capacity and innovative property products and services. The facility will underwrite all forms of property exposure and will also have a strong catastrophe component.
