Venture Underwriters Inc. (VUI) has opened a new office in Chicago, Illinois, and hired Janet Stoller as vice president to oversee the new branch location.
Stoller brings more than 35 years of underwriting experience. She has worked with various insurance services companies in the Chicago area, holding both underwriting and leadership roles. Prior to joining Venture Underwriters, she worked for Burns & Wilcox LTD, Zurich Insurance Co., and Colony, part of the Argonaut Group. She holds a CPCU designation as well as being certified as a lean green belt (Six Sigma).
The Chicago office will provide an expanding footprint for Venture Underwriters and provides expertise to the specific nuances of the Illinois construction marketplace. The office will be staffed with a team of dedicated underwriting professionals specializing in construction, products, and manufacturing risks.
Venture Underwriters Inc. underwrites surplus lines risks, produced exclusively by wholesale brokers. With six branch offices throughout the country Venture offers both primary and excess liability coverages nationwide.
