Keystone Insurers Group has expanded into 12 states with the addition of Coverra Insurance Services in Sparta, Wisconsin, its first agency partner in that state.
Coverra Insurance Services opened in 1984 and today employs 25 insurance professionals. The growing agency has expertise in several commercial industries including public transportation.
CEO Gary Ascher started the agency for Western Federal Savings and Loan and then bought it. He previously was an 18-year board member and past president of Hamburg-Stark Mutual Insurance Co.
President Jeff Ascher joined Coverra in 2007.
Keystone started in 1983 when four independent insurance agencies teamed up to pool their experience and expertise. It now has almost 300 independent agency partners in 12 states. Keystone is ranked number three on Insurance Journal’s 2018 list of Top 20 Privately-Held Property/Casualty Agency Partnerships.
