J.M. Wilson, a managing general agency headquartered in Portage, Michigan, with eight offices in the United States, has acquired Transcom General Agency, based in Madison, Wisconsin.
The transaction was effective April 1.
Transcom General Agency was founded in 1995 and has been privately owned for more than 20 years. Transcom General Agency provides transportation and property/casualty insurance to independent insurance agents in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
As part of the acquisition, Michael Knutson and his staff will join the J.M. Wilson team.
