Ryan Specialty Appoints Davies as CEO and Smith as President of PERse’s North American Operations
Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. has made leadership appointments to its Power.Energy.Risk’s (PERse) North American operations, the Chicago, Illinois-based company’s renewable energy managing general underwriter (MGU).
Katie Davies has been named CEO. Davies previously served as president of AmWINS special risk underwriters and as Midwest regional property manager for ACE Group. Davies continues to serve as CEO of JEM underwriting managers and technical risk underwriters.
Jeff Smith has been named president & chief underwriting officer. Smith is a founding member of PERse. He previously served as vice president at GCube Insurance Services, Inc. He will maintain his role as chief underwriting officer.
Mike Bernay, the preceding CEO of PERse, will serve as a senior advisor to the business for the next 100 days before retiring.
