The Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois announced it will rebrand to Big I Illinois in 2024.
The Illinois association’s rebranding will better reflect a name that has resonated with agents, carriers, and lawmakers throughout the organization’s 125-year history, the association said. Big I Illinois will launch a new website and logo in January 2024.
“The name, Big I Illinois, has a more modern edge than the prior acronym, which allowed us to develop an updated logo that is consistent with the national branding,” said Rachel Romines, Director of Communications.
The association said it was important that the “I” be emphasized in the new logo to represent both the state and independent insurance agents.
“We are excited to launch a new name and look that will usher the association into its next chapter, and it’s fitting to do so while celebrating 125 years of providing education, advocacy, and business resources to independent agencies,” said CEO Phil Lackman. “Big I Illinois signifies who we are: the preeminent professional trade association for independent agencies in Illinois.”
Big I Illinois membership is comprised of nearly 1,000 insurance agencies representing over 10,000 licensed independent agents engaged in all facets of the insurance industry, including property, casualty, life, and health.
