Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Angela Nelson announced she has filled new leadership for the positions of Deputy Department Director, General Counsel, Division Director of Insurance Consumer Affairs, and Division Director of DCI Administration.
Gina Clark has returned to the DCI as deputy director after serving as the vice president and head of regulatory affairs for Generali US Branch. In that role, Gina was the primary contact for government relations, overseeing corporate and partner licensing maintenance, and managing all regulatory reporting across the United States.
Josh Willie has been named general counsel. He served as counsel to the Divisions of Administration, Company Regulation, Consumer Affairs, and Market Regulation. Before joining DCI, Josh was Legal Counsel for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.
Jeana Thomas will serve as director of insurance consumer affairs. Thomas is a 23-year veteran regulator at the Department of Commerce and Insurance. She has served in various roles in the Department’s Consumer Affairs Division, including complaint investigator, property & casualty manager, consumer services manager, and acting director of consumer affairs.
Brenda Horstman has been named director of DCI administration. Horstman has been serving as the division’s acting director since February of this year and has managed the Department’s budget through this year’s legislative process.
