InvestSM, an educational nonprofit administered by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big I) announced that Nicole Carter, vice president of personal lines sales, strategic distribution and agent experience at Grange Insurance, has joined the Invest board of directors.
Invest is a 501(c)(3) educational trust. The program provides the insurance industry with motivated, talented, and intelligent professionals through a support structure of state associations, board members, national staff, teachers, and the many industry professionals who work in the field as classroom liaisons.
Invest benefits from the support of numerous insurance organizations, hundreds of agencies, brokers, and volunteers.

Carter’s appointment reinforces Invest’s growing coalition of industry leaders dedicated to expanding insurance education, financial literacy and career readiness among high school and college students nationwide. Carter will help guide Invest’s strategic direction and contribute to its mission of building a diverse, prepared and inspired next generation of insurance professionals.
“Invest is creating vital connections between students, educators and the insurance industry,” Carter said. “I am proud to be a part of a board that’s shaping pathways for young people to build successful and purpose-driven careers while strengthening the future of our communities.”
Serving 13 states from its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, Grange Insurance joins a long list of leaders from insurance companies and industry groups currently partnering with Invest, including: APCIA, Applied Systems; Chubb Insurance; CNA; Dryden Mutual; Hanover Insurance; HSB and Munich Re; The Big I; The Institutes; Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance; National General, an Allstate Company; Progressive Insurance; Selective Insurance; Travelers Insurance; Westfield; and Vertafore.
