Rockford Mutual Insurance Company announced CFO Mark McWethy has decided to retire effective June 30, 2026. McWethy will continue to serve the company in an advisory capacity alongside two significant leaders being promoted into their new roles.
Effective immediately, Tiffany Herron has been promoted to CFO & Vice President of Accounting. Herron joined RMIC in August 2016 as Assistant Controller following a successful 12-year tenure at Amerisafe, Inc., where she rose to the role of Assistant Controller. Since joining RMIC, Herron has taken on increasing responsibilities, progressing through positions such as AVP of Financial Services and Senior AVP of Financial & Reinsurance Services.
In addition, Aaron Powers has been promoted to Assistant Vice President (AVP), Accounting, effective immediately. Powers joined RMIC in December 2016 as a Senior Accountant, bringing with him over five years of experience from Amerisafe, Inc. During his tenure at RMIC, Powers held key roles including Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and Controller, contributing significantly to the company’s Accounting and Finance functions.
Rockford Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1896 and provides quality auto, home, farm, and commercial multi-peril insurance products. Policies are written through independent agents appointed throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan.
