The head insurance regulators of three key states have accepted invitations to speak at the Alliance/AAIS Joint Underwriting Conference, to be held in Chicago.
Sharing their perspectives on the insurance industry at the Sept. 29-Oct. 1 event will be Illinois Insurance Director Nathaniel Shapo, who will present opening remarks; New York State Insurance Superintendent Gregory Serio, who will give his perspective on the insurance market post Sept. 11; and Texas Department Head Jose Montemayor, who will discuss the issues his state has been wrestling with regarding mold coverage.
Other topics to be discussed will be credit scoring, underwriting contractors, insuring to value and children’s exposures. In addition, attendees will obtain a glimpse behind how A.M. Best factors a company’s underwriting philosophy into determining a rating.
