National Interstate Insurance Co. is now making its commercial vehicle insurance product available in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.
The Richfield, Ohio company said it is actively seeking to increase its agent/broker network with new appointments.
Originally launched in 2006, the commercial vehicle product was previously only available in California, Ohio and Texas.
The commercial vehicle product offers bodily injury limits of up to $1 million. Recent enhancements include: allowing gross vehicle weights up to 60,000 lbs., additional coverage options for greater flexibility, lower up-front down-payments, and for-hire rates. Coverage is also now available for up to 10 motorized units, 10 trailers and 20 drivers on a single policy.
The company has an Internet-based policy-processing system that allows agents to generate quotes, bind coverage, and quote and process endorsements online.
