St. Louis, Mo.-based Safety National announced that Stephen H. Cotnoir has joined the company’s Large Casualty unit. His hiring coincides with the founding of Safety National’s regional underwriting office in Atlanta, Ga.
A 25-year industry veteran, Cotnoir brings a wealth of large account and casualty experience to Safety National. He joins the company from Arch Insurance Co., where he spent six years building and leading its National Account Casualty division, a multi-line primary casualty unit. In addition, he has worked for AIG Risk Management and Travelers Insurance Co., where he garnered extensive experience, background and success in the development of the large account casualty service model and growth of new customer relationships.
In his new capacity with Safety National, Cotnoir will focus on underwriting and servicing regional and national accounts involving Safety National’s Large Casualty product offering which includes Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto And General Liability lines of coverage. He will work closely with Safety’s Large Casualty marketing, underwriting and service teams in the Southeast and nationwide as the division continues to grow.
