Ironshore Inc. has announced that its Specialty Casualty unit will provide casualty coverages for Cochrane and Company’s new Ammunition and Rifle Manufacturing Specialist Program.
Additional coverage enhancements will be available to address the needs of firearm manufacturers and importers, retailers/dealers, wholesale distributors, accessory manufacturers, ammunition/bullet/cartridge manufacturers and other shooting sports-related business risks.
Coverages will be underwritten and distributed by Cochrane on behalf of Ironshore for this targeted specialty class of business within specific states nationwide.
“Ironshore’s new relationship with Cochrane and Company reflects our ongoing commitment in offering insurance coverage solutions to meet the insurance needs of select, specialty and underserved market sectors,” said Marc Willner, senior vice president of Ironshore Programs.
Ironshore Programs develops customized insurance solutions for the Hamilton, Bermuda-based insurance group. The programs are typically designed to meet the unique needs of hard-to-place small to medium-size business classes.
The Spokane, Wash.-based Cochrane and Company was established in 1960, and is a family-owned and operated surplus lines wholesaler that has five national programs and provides insurance solutions for 1,700 retail agents.
