Cove Programs Expands Product Offerings in Homebuilders Market

December 11, 2012

Cove Programs has expanded its product offerings and staffing to support the most recent national increase in homebuilding. In addition to its program for larger production homebuilders in the country, Cove Programs now offers coverage and a flexible policy structure to smaller builders who sell more than twenty homes per year; offering a multi year policy to deal with the uncertainties of the speed of the housing recovery.

Specifically designed for the homebuilder that has maintained its investment in quality control and long term customer service over the most recent housing downturn, Cove Programs offers general liability and builders risk insurance on an annual, multiple year or project basis for single family detached, attached housing and apartment projects. Cove Programs’ form is designed specifically for residential operations, including construction defect exposures. Cove Programs features coverage that dovetails with an insured’s warranty program, which encourages builders to resolve disputes with homeowners without costly litigation.

Cove Programs has also hired Jim Siffermann, who has worked in the construction insurance market for over 25 years and most recently in the Zurich Home Builders Protection Program. Siffermann will work in the Western U.S. region and help in the underwriting and distribution efforts.

Cove Programs is based in London and Los Angeles. It works directly with retail brokers and has an underwriting facility on behalf of Best Rated A 15 security insurance companies as well as the ability to place $100 million of available limits over its proprietary policy form in the U.S. and international insurance markets.
