ICW Group Insurance Cos., a multiline property/casualty insurer based in San Diego, Calif., announced it has begun writing workers’ compensation insurance in Georgia, Indiana and New Jersey.
ICW Group said its Georgia market will be headed by Rob DeViere, branch manager for the Southern region. Beverly Bisazza, the Northeastern region branch manager, will oversee the New Jersey market, and Keith Guccione, the Midwest region branch manager, will take the helm of the Indiana market. ICW Group now offers workers’ compensation insurance in the following 12 states: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.
ICW Group Insurance Cos. is the largest privately held insurance company domiciled in California. ICW Group represents a group of property, auto and workers’ compensation insurance carriers, including Insurance Company of the West and Explorer Insurance Company. ICW Group reported direct written premiums of $658 million for 2013, providing commercial and personal insurance to over 300,000 policyholders.
