I see where they are trying to go with this, but I think employers are overstepping here. It’s one thing to do a job for someone; it’s another to have them get into your genetics for the “sake of saving insurance costs”. That’s taking things way too far.
What they are really saying is that if you are a female, 5’5″ and 280 lbs or a guy who is 5’10” and 330 lbs, you have very little chance of being hired in this job market. They don’t want the potential health risks associated with overweight people if they are providing health benefits.
