Ironshore has named Anthony J. DeSantis as chief executive officer of Wright & Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary in its U.S. Holdings Group He will be responsible for Wright’s existing direct to consumer platform, as well as building upon the small to medium enterprise initiative.
He will be based in the company’s Wilmington, Delaware headquarters, reporting to Shaun Kelly, CEO of Ironshore U.S. Operations.
DeSantis joins Ironshore from Farmers Insurance where he served as president of Personal Lines for three years, overseeing product development, underwriting and claims management. Prior to that role, he was president and chief executive officer of 21st Century Insurance following its acquisition by Farmers Insurance Group of Companies.
DeSantis also held various senior management positions during his 20 year tenure with American International Group (AIG).
Wright & Co, acquired by Ironshore in 2014, is a program administrator that provides professional liability and employee benefits coverages to employees of the United States government, focusing on law enforcement personnel and national security department operations.
