OneBeacon Healthcare Group, a member of OneBeacon Insurance Group, has launched a new federally qualified community health clinics and providers policy, which provides additional protection for potential gaps in the coverage afforded to community health centers and providers under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA). The product is exclusively available through its managing general underwriter Sobel Affiliates, a Brown & Brown company.
Product features include claims made or occurrence professional liability coverage; a broad definition of covered contracts and of professional services including activities while acting as a navigator, certified application counselor or in-person assister in the health insurance marketplace; privacy breach event coverage; and an enhanced coverage structure for certain employed medical practitioners.
The policy will be written on a nonadmitted basis, except in the District of Columbia, New York, Virginia and Oregon.
OneBeacon Healthcare Group specializes in professional liability coverages and other coverages for hospitals, physicians and complex risks, free-standing medical facilities, senior living organizations, and managed care organizations. Coverages may be underwritten by one of the following insurance companies: Atlantic Specialty Insurance Company, Homeland Insurance Company of New York, Homeland Insurance Company of Delaware, OBI America Insurance Company and OBI National Insurance Company.
