“If their states like Obamacare, they can keep it.”

That’s a nice idea but not very well thought out. What happens when one of the states that keeps it inevitably loses money like it did nationally? Do the other states have to bail them out?

If you like your plan, you can keep it, PERIOD!
If you like your doctor, you can keep him, PERIOD!
The average family will save $2,500 each year, PERIOD!

These lies were repeated at least 28 times across the country by the liar in chief, one Barack H. Obama.

Adding to the lie parade, Nancy Pelosi Galore said she had to pass it so we could see what was in it. Guess what, a bigger mess could not have been made. Now, Republicans have been hired to fix the mess and want it done instantly despite all the knashing of teeth of the left, crybaby sore losers.

        Agent,

Do yourself a favor and stop basing your arguments around, “Well, they lied first!” or “They did it so why cant we?”. It comes off as weak and uninspired. Do you base all of your life around the actions of others? I am going to tell you one more time – I VOTED TRUMP. What has happened so far is essentially the opposite of what I was hoping. Don’t defend someone who is digging their own grave. You will only fall in with them. You must know this whole “they can keep it if they want” looks terrible for conservatives (Polar mainly) who chanted repeal and replace like it was their last dying wish. For once in your life admit that this is a contradiction. It is okay to admit defeat sometimes. It is okay to be wrong.

Why bother? These guys are idiots. It’s not worth my time or yours.

Somehow these idiots missed what the law intends, vs how the republicans are selling democrats. I personally call this bad, but not for the same reason as these idiots.

It gives power back to the states. The republicans are reminding these people that means any state can make their own legislation for healthcare, inclusive of a plan similar to Obamacare.

This is not a lie. This is Trump not being a dictator with federal law, to which most people would say bravo, in fact, most you freaking liberal idiots should be.

However, I exaggerate saying dictator, simply because people say it a lot here just so you know, and, furthermore, why I say this is bad?

Liberal states surely will do this, and it will make the system as a whole less efficient.

            Did Trump lie? NO.

Rolling back Obamacare in nearly any circumstance would have given power back to the states.

You guys on the left are such fools you don’t know how to monitor people though…

And because you liberals are so stupid, let me explain why this is not a compromise to keep any aspect of the ACA:

These states would have to pass their own plan.

Did it click yet, you freaking morons?

He himself would not be keeping any part of the plan. If an idiotic blue state then voted on it, it would be completely their doing, and their plan, and they would own it’s failure.

            It’s like minimum wage.

This would be like Trump saying “I will not support a federal minimum wage increase nor pass one”

“However, if states want to, that’s ok”.

OOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!! BURN!!!!! HE LET MINIMUM WAGE EXIST!!!!

            No wait what?

How stupid are you freaking idiots??

Here’s one last one for Ron,

Mr Coburn, who went over some of the many potential cuts totaling hundreds of billions of dollars, many of which Trump said he could save hundreds of billions by implementing. Many of them were implemented and saved a lot of money, which I’m sure Obama takes credit for.

            But Republicans don’t cut. Nope.

And when Trump echoes him saying he can cut considerable waste, in excess of hundreds of billions, he’s just an idiot who over exaggerates.

This suggestion of states retaining ACA is impossible and legally incorrect. It had to have been written by a millenial who knows nothing about federal law. Sure, states can enact their ‘plans’. Only a handful of liberal run states could do so. But the Federal Courts could strike down their laws as UnConstitutional once a FIFTH Conservative Justice is seated by the US Senate confirmation process.

Terrible, stupid article. Starts with a call to violence, of course. Then complains about liberals denying the legitimacy of Bush’s 2000 election in an attempt to deflect from similar complaints about Trump. But any true conservative would acknowledge that Bush was an illegitimate president, appointed by the Supreme Court even though he would have lost had Florida been allowed to count their votes. Liberals will stop calling Republican presidents illegitimate when they stop using the supreme court and committing crimes and treason to install their illegitimate presidents.

Clinton did not promise more war, but Trump did, although both are much too hawkish for my personal tastes. Trump promised both trade wars, which lead to shooting wars, wars against anybody who crossed the US, and also promised to commit war crimes and steal the natural resources of the countries we fight.

Complaints about rules and norms after Republicans destroyed both, eg, filibusters for almost all judicial appointments, refusing to vote or even hold hearings on Obama’s Supreme Court appointment, and trying to obstruct everything from day one, are stupid and show no knowledge or fundamental dishonesty.

Also, the conservatives he writes about are not normal, they are far outside the mainstream. Most people support gay marriage now, most support birth control, almost 80% support abortion, and most support legalization for marijuana. Even his culture wars are BS, for example tell most conservatives far more people do yoga than hunt, therefore you aren’t a real American unless you are into yoga and are abnormal if you hunt.

Stupid article aimed at stupid people.

The Women’s March in Washington had 3x as many people as Trump’s pathetic inauguration, nobody likes him, he’s an illegitimate, 1 term, already close to being failed president. Supporting him is not normal.

            Agent,

I am not saying I made a mistake yet but I am concerned that our elected officials do not know what to do with all the power they have now. It is like we finally have the ability to make changes but our party cannot agree on how to implement them. There has been so much talk of, “There is a plan. There is a plan. It is a great plan. It is just great” and now there is talk of about 10 plans. THAT IS NOT A GOOD SIGN. Being indecisive is only going to stall growth. More plans = more confusion. Also, the fact that the plan that is most likely going to be implemented allows for states to keep ACA if they choose is bad, really bad. Not bad for those states but bad for a President that largely based his campaign around, “WE WILL IMMEDIATELY REPEAL AND REPLACE OBAMACARE”. Agent, how do we defend that?

Conserving, the Democrats have not been able to defend Obamacare for 6 1/2 long years, have they? How do you unring a bell? The whole plan, all 2,700 pages and thousands of pages of regulation and taxation was intended to complicate things so bad that it couldn’t be fixed easily and the population would capitulate and accept Single Payer government plans. Give Trump a chance and he may ring a new bell with a good plan.

CTT is another poster who is melting down over the news of a TrumPlan about to be revealed.

The specifics of the replacement plan are being picked apart by a trio of libitterals here, abusing the intent of words used by TrumPresident to twist the intent.

The concern about lower cost is amusing because the replacement plan will include cost control efforts and changes that yield efficiencies that also lead to cost savings. ACA didn’t bother with cost control efforts, it just taxed or penalized taxpayers to cover the escalating costs. Almost all of the 23 CO-OPs failed and the remainder are in a death spiral.

In many, many regards Obama’s presidency was a failure. We know this. Let’s move on. If Trump’s entire presidency is a collage of “WELL IF IT WASNT FOR OBAMA THEN THINGS WOULD BE BETTER” or “WELL OBAMA DID SO AND SO FIRST” then I promise you things will not improve for our country. There will be no “making America great again”.

No Actuaries in Obamacare. The only health question was whether the applicant smoked or not. Take all comers even if they were already sick. Hope enough young and healthy would sign up to pay for the sick. No Pools for the chronically ill. Give them the same rate. Is that a recipe for success?

I use Blue Cross Blue Shield in my state and if one clicks on Start Application, the only things that pop up are 1. Smoking or tobacco products use and 2. Date of Birth. If one goes further, the info is mostly asking for financial info to determine if a subsidy can be granted.

      Sally Ann,

If they can’t repair the healthcare mistakes Obama made, Republicans will create an entirely new plan which is likely the only option.
States deciding to “retain” obamacare would be a drag on the Federal govt when they are upside down due to losses.
The federal government had a bill for obamacare of $42 BILLION on top of claims paid by insurers, premiums paid by some of the insured’s, taxes paid by all of us and triple premiums paid by ME on my health plan since this joke was enacted.
Trump will use his vast negotiating skills and business experience to fix the government.
IT is about time an elected President actually HAD A JOB before taking office.

Most of us are insurance industry professional and likely possess superior knowledge of risk management and the insurance process in general. In the past few years we have witnessed very expensive lobbying efforts on the part of the health insurers to overturn the ACA. I suppose this is understandable, in view of the ACA requirement that 80% of premiums be disbursed as health claim payments. Surely these insurers have actuaries who could on short order promulgate a rate proposal demonstrating necessary premium costs with inclusion of prior condition risks. Have such projections been made? What are the numbers? How do they compare to ACA?

Boonedoggle, Insurance companies have not been lobbying to get rid of Obamacare. If so, why have I gotten a number of bulletins for 6 years from Blue Cross with the headlines – “We are all in on the ACA”. They did then promote their approved plans. After 6 years, they did find out it was a losing proposition, abandoned the exchanges and are now open to Republican plans.

TumPolar, in the last article, they were complaining about the number of posts you made. They would furiously down vote every comment you made hoping to snuff out your opinion. They would then upvote their own comment ad nauseum hoping everyone would agree with them. There are three prominent trolls that do this. Ones name starts with an A,another starts with a U, the other is female starting with a C. I don’t hold much hope the monitor will do anything about them since they have been getting away with it for several years now. I once got an email from the monitor cautioning me to refrain from calling someone a “dufus”. They said they wanted the forum to be insult free. Oops, they let the bad trolls say every insult and swear word available in the English language and the comment stayed up. Conservatives have not exactly gotten a fair shake on IJ

The first thing on the agenda is the first 200 Executive Orders, get all the appointments approved despite Chucky Shmucky Schumer’s delaying tactics. Then, he can move on with a hundred other things. Glad he has a lot of energy because it will be exhausting work and he has a great staff and appointees to help fix this country. Saw where 90 sore losers arrested so far. I thought it might be more since they pledged major disruptions. The Secret Service, FBI, Police have done a great job so far.

I heard he was lucky to have 500,000-750,000 people there. And, I know they were handing out tickets. Someone said the first dance was a laugh riot. Evidently, Melania’s face looked like she was on her first trip to the gyno. And that came from a Republican. I also read he had to delete his first tweet as Prez because he said he was “honered”. Yes, he loves the poorly educated, and himself the most of all. This is going to be a fun four years. Someone should keep a running score on who provides more Presidential comedy material, this orange pudge or Dubya. Then again, Dubya had 8 years so we might need some sort of a conversion table. The states should be responsible for the healthcare of their citizens except for those 5% who eat up 50% of the medical care costs. Those critically and chronically ill should be placed in a federal Assigned Risk pool as is done with Work Comp in many states.
