There were no women in Zurich worthy of promotion?

Gee, even the Trump cabinet has more gender diversity than this new line up at Zurich. It seems Zurich still has a long way to go. It’s the 21st century so you cannot tell me that there are not very experienced women in your ranks that would have been able to stretch into one of these positions.

Time to take a hard look at yourself Zurich. With all of the reorganization and restructuring you would think that some diversity in leadership may be some of the solution.

And not a single female among them. Does Zurich have no women that are worthy of promotions to this level?

It is the 21st century, men and women are of equal stature. Zurich probably promoted the PEOPLE who they thought would be the best for the position and ultimately improving shareholder value. Zurich seems to care about diversity of skills and diversity of thinking, neither characteristic is dependent on the person’s gender. Whether the people who received the promotion were all men, all women, or a mix of the two, the gender has no correlation with the promotion. No man should be promoted because he is a male. No women should be promoted because she is a female. Talent and leadership ability is what leads to promotion.

I worked for Zurich for 17 years and in the office I worked, it contained a “good ol boy” network. There are women at Zurich deserving of promotion to the highest ranks but alas, Zurich has failed again. My experience was that they restructured about every 5 years and they consistently choose white males to run the organization. They really do not care about diversity.
