To state that Medicare is not in trouble but rising healthcare costs are is like saying people can still afford to buy a new car but the costs of new cars are becoming unaffordable. Who wrote this report?

Dave, Social Security was always supposed to be separate from the rest of the government. When LBJ took it out and put it in the General Fund to pay for his War on Poverty, that put everything at risk. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. In recent years, people have been filing on Social Security Disability and getting it even though they are not disabled. Most of them are just lazy. 95 million adults not working in this country and many are on disability. What a shame!

What a bunch of hooey! The past 8 years were SOOO bad that if you couldn’t find a job you just filed for disability and Poof! you got it? What world do you live in? Talk to anyone over age 50 to see what the job market is like. No one talks about the difficulty in even being considered for a job once you pass that age, but believe me, it is extremely to even get an interview when the person hiring sees you are over that age. It has nothing to do with who is in the White House.

I know several people who are over 50, and one over 60, who got jobs recently. Apparently, those hiring managers were so impressed by Trumponomics they began hiring ‘experienced workers’ who could add great value to their company.

Regarding means testing of social security. It is already means tested. In the benefits calculation, your average indexed monthly earnings is divided into three tiers. The lowest tier is credited 90%, the middle tier 32%, and the highest tier 15%. So the lower income earners are credited at a much higher percentage than high earners, plus earnings are capped on which benefits are based.

Means testing is good in theory, but for Social Security pilot programs have shown that despite popular right-wing stories, cheating the system is relatively rare (it’s not easy), and means testing is actually more expensive. They catch fewer than it costs.

Agent, job creation was better under Obama than Bush, and job creation has been going for years now. The increase in non-workers is mostly due to age.

Nice to know you’re willing to post links in good faith that you feel support your argument so I can review and respond accordingly, instead of refusing to post a link solely because of what you think someone may say as a reply.

            End sarcasm.

I review all links the same way, regardless of source. Is it based on actual data or pure conjecture? Is the data a big enough sample size? Has the data been manipulated? Are the conclusions based on the relevant data? Etc.

I don’t care what the source is. Fox, CNN, NY Times, The National Enquirer, BBC, Al Jezeera America, Breitbart – I don’t care. They all must pass the same validity test.

Now I shall ask again: do you have ANY evidence FROM ANYWHERE that supports your argument of millions of undocumented immigrants using fake social security numbers? If so, I respectfully ask you to post a link for review & analysis.

Ridiculous, clueless Agent. The total number of people with 2 jobs under Obama increased by about 10 million under Obama. Many of these are people working part-time second jobs, like as a driver for Uber to make a little extra spending cash.

The total percentage of people with a job that have a 2nd job decreased under Obama. It was 5.3% his first full month, and was 5.0% his last month. I know for your type math isn’t your strong suit, but that means fewer workers have 2 jobs, even though more people have jobs, and unemployment is lower. Now find somebody to explain what this means for you, but I will give you a preview, and let you know you are wrong. So stop making this asinine, ignorant claim.

Also, burger flipping is no less a job than being an incompetent, racist, lying, degenerate insurance agent, if you happen to know any of those. A job is a job, there is no such thing as a “real job.” There are jobs that are not good careers, but your interpretation of “real” is ridiculous.

If you were employed at 50 during the Obama years and now your 60 your income not only dropped, but your prime earning years and the improvement for your future SS has been killed just because your hours were decreased and unemployment becomes a reality, now you have to your pay bills depleting your savings. Life becomes difficult and finding a yet another job at 60 a new career just isn’t a choice. I have children under 30 and their positions are no picnic either. Businesses are not in the market for the aging. Our learning curve takes a bit more time and many aren’t as quick as others and so on…..The attitude of those of us struggling in this economy has placed the middle class income into the lower income group causing depression and many woes as to our future. Trolls don’t ask others to prove their arguments with evidence.

From an Agent post: per Wikipedia, a troll is a person who sows discord on the internet by starting arguments or upsetting people by posting off topic messages with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or otherwise disrupting normal on topic discussions.

Little guy, aren’t you the one that Bob tried to educate for 6 months on about every subject with his well thought out, supported positions and you rejected them every single time? You demand proof and then you reject the proof. Why should anyone try to prove anything to you since you have an agenda and a closed mind? That is the trait of a Progressive and you either didn’t learn anything in school or you can’t do basic research. As I recall, you have trouble with Google as well.

My bear ears must hear better than human ears.

The budget is a KEY underlying factor in producing a replacement to ACA.

‘Balanced budgets’ will require a Constitutional Convention, mainly due to Schmucky Schumer’s Democratic Hypocritical Obstructionist policy and agenda.

TROLLIBITTERALs are incapable of having an intelligent discussion…. they reject facts exposed by conservative media …. because no one expects the liberal media to report things that reveal faults in liberal agendas and socialism. LIBITTERALS say they only accept links from ‘reliable’ or ‘credible’ news sources…. and those two adjectives are determined only by them.

There is no sense in debating libbitterals who think of themselves as judges in debates they are participants in.

Want to know what the Republicans are discussing behind closed doors? So do the news media, so YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY PASS IT …. to the media, to find out what’s in it. Or, ask your Republican Congressman to tell you. Good luck with that, or if you are in a deep red state with no Republican representatives. LOL!

The ACA R&R plan is going fairly well, except there is still disagreement over how to cover Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s expected to reach epidemic levels, and Republicans are concerned that will bankrupt the new HI system.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/gop-proposal-aims-end-insurance-073948771.html

Pharma savings makes sense, so this could be a lucky guess by the author. The licensing of insurance companies across state lines has been mentioned many times, so nothing new about that. The ACA R&R (replacement) is still FAR from done… many parties need to get in line… and that’s not going to happen quickly.

Of course, any talk of replacing ACA will yield humorous comments by Dems who produced the disaster called ACA:

      excerpt:

Though just a preliminary document, the package drew quick criticism from Democrats.

“This isn’t a replacement, it’s a recipe for disaster,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. He said it would “put insurance companies back in charge” while boosting health care costs for millions and kicking millions of others off their plans.

      *****************************************************************

Here’s the most important aspect that Schmucky Schumer fears….

“…it will put insurance companies back in charge…”

Dem Socialist / Communist-wannabes fear loss of government control of ANY benefit program. Sorry, Schmucky, but Medicare is next, and then Social Security will follow after that, to be replaced by expansion of current, individually controlled retirement plans such as IRAs, etc.

        addendum;

The ‘millions that will be kicked off their plans’ do not outnumber the 19 million of 20 million ‘newly insured’ under ACA.

The ACA R&R will almost certainly allow current policyholders to keep their policy until it expires, then allow 2 or 3 renewals or reinstatements under the new coverage form.

Dems continue to spout LIES about people losing coverage with ACA R&R. Absolutely FAKE NEWS from Dem Socialists who fear the imminent loss of a Social Insurance program which will be replaced by something that will WORK BETTER and turn people off from social insurance FOREVER!

How should the multiple time zones and multiple states (TX, AZ, NM, CA) be handled in the policy and the (necessary) fac cert reinsurance contract? Taxes still being deducted from SS as well. I can’t find any information explaining this one way or the other.
