Victims of cyber attacks need vengeance much more than insurance, in the long run. The coverage is under priced and may become unaffordable. When one had a traditional casualty claim due to crime, the police and the federals were working not only to recover your stuff but to collect the guilty and present them to the courts for trial and punishment. Who’s going to get a Russian hacker before a US court? The same thing happened during the barbary wars of the early 1800s. Then, our navy exacted retribution. The cry was “Millions for defence, not one cent for tribute”. We have, whether we like it or not, graduated from law enforcement to war. We pay lots of taxes for government to take the role of protectors. It’s time that they became a lot more ruthless.

😭😭 tit for tat can get dangerous but hard to disagree. A senior U.S spokesperson said response in kind when their pipeline was hacked.
